Bible Verse Of The Day ~ Monday, February 20, 2012
Exodus 2:5-6 (NIV)
“Then Pharaoh’s daughter went down to the Nile to bathe, and her attendants were walking along the riverbank. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her female slave to get it. She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and she felt sorry for him. ‘This is one of the Hebrew babies,’ she said.”
The Implication
Were you aware that the Pharaoh’s daughter, who found Moses and took him with her to be raised was part of the same group that was killing all of the Hebrew baby boys they could locate. Despite this, they took baby Moses in and raised and cared for him as if he was there own. It is interesting to realize that the person who rescued and saved the Jewish people was raised and nurtured by the Egyptian people.
The next time you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed by your life or the circumstances surrounding you, remember that God is in control. He can use any situation to bring about change and to impact the world to fit His will. It is important that we have faith even when the situation does not seem salvageable. God is faithful and His will always prevails.
