John 1:12-13 (NIV)
“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”
The Implication
These verses are absolutely awesome because this promise is magnificent. This scripture tells us that once we accept Jesus Christ as savior we become children of God. This means that we receive everything that the Kingdom of God has to offer.
We are so very happy to offer everything we have to our children. As parents, it is our goal to provide our children everything they need. Our children do not have to worry about having shoes for school, because we do everything we can to provide for them. They are precious to us and will inherit everything we have.
Just as we would do anything and everything for our children, God will do everything for us. We are children of God. He will do everything and anything to provide for us. We will inherit the Kingdom of God. This is absolutely astonishing to realize. This is what the verses above are telling us!
