Matthew 5:23-24 (NIV)

Bible Verse Of The Day ~ Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Matthew 5:23-24 (NIV)
“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.”

The Implication

This verse calls us to reconcile our differences with other people before we come before God to give an offering. Not only are we called to go make piece with those that we have wronged, we are also called to make piece with those he may be feeling harmed by us.

It takes a certain amount of humility and strength to admit that you have hurt somebody and to make amends. It is with a loving heart that we are then able to come before God to share our love and dedication to Him.
