Psalm 32:5 (NIV)

Bible Verse Of The Day ~Wednesday, February 28, 2012 (Leap Day)

Psalm 32:5 (NIV)

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

The Implication

This verse is a wonderful reminder that we all sin and we all fall short. Each and every one of us need the forgiveness and the grace of God each and every day! Often times, we have difficulty confessing our sins to God and to each other. This is part of human nature.

It is hard for us to accept that we are not perfect and that we need forgiveness. The amazing part is that it is a privilege to receive God’s forgiveness. Jesus died for our transgressions and we have been forgiven. We just need to step forward and ask for it.

We also find it hard to forgive one another. It is important to remember that forgive does not mean forget, and it does not mean let somebody walk all over you. Forgiveness is actually extremely easy and amazingly transforming. It is something that will benefit you. It will also allow you to gain a basic understanding of grace.
