Death and decay surrounds us. The world is full of death and it is around us everyday. As Christians, we can see past the death and decay to the life that surrounds us when we let Jesus in and see through His eyes.
Romans 5:17 (NIV)
“For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!”
The Implication
In this verse, Paul acknowledges that death can have a hold over us. However, when we accept Jesus and savior and live with the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, the shadow of death is lifted from us. We are able to live life to the fullest in the image of Christ!
