About This Olive Wood Heart
Hold this in your hand and you'll feel the grain right away. It's smooth, warm, and just under two inches across. Small enough to tuck into a card or set on a table at a reception. That size is the whole point.
A lot of wedding favors end up in a drawer somewhere. This one tends to stick around. The olive wood from the Holy Land has a warmth to it that's hard to describe, golden tones, darker streaks running through, and no two pieces are exactly alike. People notice that. If you're looking for a zuluf olive wood gift that actually means something rather than just filling a gift bag, this is the one I'd point you to.
We've been shipping these for weddings, anniversaries, and engagement parties for years. Brides order them by the dozen for guest favors. Mothers of the groom pick up a single one to keep. Both work fine.
From Our Family to Yours
Hi, I'm Elias. I grew up watching my father sort through trays of these little hearts, checking each one by hand before it went out the door. I do the same thing now. This shape has always been one of our most straightforward pieces, but getting it right, the proportions, the finish, takes a real carver. If you want to buy zuluf olive wood and actually know where it came from, you're in the right place.

Perfect As a Gift
A bride from Ohio reached out last year. She'd ordered 60 of these as wedding favors and wanted to let us know that three of her guests came back to the shop afterward to order more. That kind of thing happens more than you'd think with olive wood from the Holy Land. It's the realness of it. People can feel it's not plastic.
Order enough to hit $100 and the US shipping is free. We ship worldwide, so if your wedding guests are scattered across a few countries, that's not a problem either.

The Story Behind It
Most olive wood hearts you find online are factory-pressed and sanded by machine. Ours aren't. The carver who makes these shapes each one by hand in a workshop that's been in his family for three generations, about ten minutes from Manger Square in Bethlehem.
The olive wood itself comes from annual pruning of living trees. Nothing gets cut down for this. The trees keep growing, the pruned branches go to the workshop, and the carver turns them into something that'll last longer than a wedding photo album. That continuity matters to me, at least. Your order keeps these families working the same craft their grandparents did.
We've been shipping direct from Bethlehem since 2007, no importers, no middlemen. Factory-direct pricing is how we keep something this well-made at $2.25.

Care Instructions
Olive wood is low maintenance. If it starts looking a little dry, rub a small drop of olive oil into it with a cloth and that's all it needs. Don't soak it in water and it'll stay looking good for years.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this actually made in Bethlehem or just marketed that way?
Yeah, genuinely. I've been doing this for years and the families making these are the same ones my dad built relationships with. I'm not buying from a middleman who buys from a middleman. The wood is local, the hands are local. I actually visited the workshop maybe three years ago and watched these get sanded and finished. It's real.
How big is it exactly?
1.7 inches across. Fits in your palm.
We're ordering a bunch for a wedding, do you do anything for larger orders?
So reach out directly before you order a big quantity, because depending on how many you need and the timing I can sometimes work something out. No formal bulk pricing page or anything like that, it's just easier to talk through. What I'd say is... actually the bigger thing people don't think about is lead time. If you need 80 of these for a Saturday, don't email me on Wednesday. Give me a heads up and we'll figure it out.
Will this ship in time if I need it for an event?
Pretty standard, ships within a couple days usually. Free shipping if you're over $100, and most US orders I'd say probably a week give or take.
Does it come with any packaging or is it just the wood piece?
It comes wrapped, not in a fancy branded box or anything, but it's protected and presentable enough to go straight into a gift bag or card. If you're tucking it into an envelope just double-check the fit, it's small but not paper-flat.
