About This Figurine

There's something about holding this piece that stops people mid-sentence. I've watched it happen. Someone picks it up, goes quiet for a second, and then asks where it came from. The answer is always the same: Bethlehem, carved from olive wood that grew in the very ground where the Christmas story happened.

The angel holds the infant Jesus as one single carved piece. No separate parts glued together. The shape is soft, rounded, calm. It sits naturally on a shelf or in the palm of your hand without tipping or demanding attention. If you're looking for olive wood handcrafted angel figures for sale that actually feel like they came from somewhere real, this is that.

Every piece comes out a little different. The grain runs its own direction, knots land where they land, the warm tones shift from one to the next. That's not a flaw. That's just wood being wood.

From Our Family to Yours

Hi, I'm Elias. I've been handling these angel figures since I was a kid, sorting them on the workshop floor while my father talked prices with the carvers. This olive wood handcrafted angel is one of those pieces I keep coming back to, there's a gentleness to it that's hard to explain but easy to feel. Every order ships directly from our family's operation in Bethlehem, no middlemen involved.

Perfect As a Gift

A pastor in Ohio ordered six of these to give as figures baptism gifts to families whose children were being baptized that season. He emailed me a few weeks later to say three of the families had written him thank-you notes really mentioning the figurine. That's the kind of thing that stays with you.

It works for almost any occasion. A figures christmas gift, a figures easter gift for someone who collects nativity pieces, a figures confirmation gift for a young person starting something new. Free US shipping on orders over $100, and we ship worldwide directly from Bethlehem.

The Story Behind It

Most angel figures you find online are factory-made somewhere, cast from resin, painted to look warm. These aren't. The Christian artisan families in Bethlehem who carve these have been doing this work for generations, passing the tools and the techniques from parent to child the same way their parents received them.

The olive wood itself comes from annual pruning of living trees. Nobody's cutting anything down. The trees keep growing, the families keep carving, and your order goes directly back into supporting that. No reseller margin in between, no import distributor. Factory-direct pricing, which is why $18 buys you something that would cost three times that elsewhere.

I visited one of the workshops last year and the grandmother was sorting pieces by grain quality. She's been doing that specific job for decades and she's still the best at it, at least in my opinion.

Care Instructions

Olive wood is low maintenance. If it starts looking a little dry, rub a small drop of olive oil into it with a cloth and it'll come right back. Don't soak it in water and don't leave it somewhere it'll get soaked. That's really about it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this actually carved in Bethlehem or is that just marketing?

Yeah, genuinely. I've been doing this long enough that I'd be embarrassed to fake that. The families carving these are the same ones my dad worked with. I know their names. I've been to the workshops. Real olive wood, real Bethlehem, not a story we put on a label.

Does it come in a gift box?

It does, comes packaged so it's ready to give. I'd say probably 80% of the orders I ship for this piece are gifts, so we made sure it doesn't arrive looking like it just survived a warehouse.

How big is it?

Around 4.4 inches tall. Small enough for a shelf, substantial enough that it doesn't feel flimsy when you pick it up.

Is the angel and baby one piece or are they glued together?

One piece. So this is actually something I point out because I've seen other figurines where the infant is a separate little part that eventually falls off or gets lost... anyway, this one's carved from a single block of olive wood. The angel's arms, the baby, all of it. No assembly, no glue joints to worry about down the line.

How fast do you ship?

Pretty standard, ships in a couple days usually. Free shipping if you're over $100.
