About This Ceramic Spoon Rest

Set this beside your stove and it just looks right. There's something about hand-painted ceramic that a plain store-bought spoon rest can't touch, the colors have a little irregularity to them, a human quality. This one comes from Hebron, where families have been shaping and glazing pottery for generations. It's not decoration pretending to be useful. It does its job every day and it happens to be striking while doing it.

If you're looking for a ceramic spoon rest for sale that actually has a story behind it, this is it. Seven designs to choose from, each hand-painted, each slightly different from the next. That's not a flaw. That's the point.

From Our Family to Yours

Hi, I'm Elias. I grew up around Hebron pottery, my family has been working with these artisan families for years and I still remember handling the glazed pieces as a kid, checking the colors in the light. This spoon rest is a ceramic gift idea that looks simple but carries a lot of history. Every one ships directly from us, no middlemen.

Perfect As a Gift

A customer from Texas ordered four of these at once, one for herself and three for friends, told me they were the most thoughtful kitchen gifts she'd given in years. That kind of thing sticks with you. A ceramic gift idea doesn't have to be complicated. Something useful, something made by hand, something that comes from a place with real history. That's enough.

The Story Behind It

Hebron pottery goes back centuries. That's not marketing, that's just history. The families we work with have been passing this craft down through generations, the shapes, the glazing technique, the painted designs. Most painted ceramic you find online is factory-made somewhere with no connection to any tradition. These aren't. Each spoon rest comes from a workshop where someone mixed the glaze, painted the design by hand, and fired the piece themselves.

At Zuluf, we buy directly from these families in the Holy Land. No importers in between, no warehouses. Your order helps them keep working, which matters more than I can explain in a product description.

Care Instructions

It's ceramic, so treat it like ceramic. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth and don't run it through the dishwasher. Keep it somewhere it won't get knocked off a shelf and it'll last you a long time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it come in any kind of gift box or packaging?

Yeah, we wrap it up so it's not just rattling around in a mailer. Honestly it's pretty giftable as-is. I've had people order these for housewarming gifts, for hostesses, for Christmas... the hand-painted detail reads really well in person, better than the photos usually. If you want a note included just put it in the order comments and I'll throw one in.

How big is this thing?

About 5 inches across. Fits a regular cooking spoon, no problem.

Is this actually made in Hebron or is that just a label?

Genuinely Hebron. I've been to these workshops myself, not like I'm reading it off a spec sheet. The CR-series designs come from one specific family there, they've been doing this for... actually I don't even know how many generations, but it's a lot. You can see the hand-painted lines aren't perfectly uniform, that's not a defect, that's literally what handmade looks like up close.

How fast do you ship?

Pretty standard, usually goes out within a couple days. Free shipping if your order's over fifty bucks. US delivery I'd say probably a week, give or take.

Do the different design codes actually look that different from each other?

Yeah they do. CR062 and CR063 are more traditional blues and geometric patterns, CR067 runs warmer, more terracotta tones. I keep a few of the CR066 ones on my own kitchen counter actually, the color holds up really well even after daily use, I was worried about that when we first started carrying these but it's held up fine.
