About This Holy Family

There's something about holding this piece that stops you for a second. The star shape frames Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus in a way that just makes sense, like everything is exactly where it should be. It's carved by hand in Bethlehem, the same city where that story happened, and that's not a detail I take lightly.

If you're looking to buy a nativity set with a real connection to the Holy Land, this is about as direct as it gets. No factory, no middleman. The families who carve these live minutes from Manger Square. The star frame is a reference to the Star of Bethlehem itself, which feels right given where these hands are working. A holy family gift that actually comes from the holy family's city.

From Our Family to Yours

Hi, I'm Elias. I've been around these nativity scenes my whole life, literally grew up watching them come off the workbench. This Holy Family in the star frame is one of the pieces I always keep on my desk here. If you want to holy family order online and know it's coming from somewhere real, this is that place. Ships directly from us in Bethlehem.

Perfect As a Gift

A customer from Ohio ordered three of these last December, one for each of her adult kids. She sent me a message in January saying all three were still on their mantels. That's exactly what this piece does. It stays out year-round because it doesn't feel like a seasonal decoration, it feels like something that belongs in the house.

It makes a meaningful holy family christmas gift, obviously, but people order these for a lot of different moments. A holy family baptism gift, a holy family wedding gift for a newly married couple starting a home. Even a holy family confirmation gift lands well because it's something the recipient will actually keep. Free US shipping on orders over $100, and we ship worldwide.

The Story Behind It

Most nativity sets you find online are factory-made somewhere with no connection to the story they're depicting. Ours are carved in Bethlehem, by Christian artisan families who have been working olive wood for three generations. That's not a marketing line, that's just what's true.

The olive wood itself comes from annual pruning of living trees. Nobody's cutting anything down. The trees keep growing, the pruning happens every year regardless, and the wood that would otherwise go to waste becomes this. I find that detail kind of remarkable, that something carved from pruned branches ends up on someone's shelf in Texas or Germany or Australia.

When you buy a christmas nativity set through us, you're buying it factory-direct. The family who carved it gets a fair price. That's the whole point of how we set this up. It's been the model since my father started working with these families, and I've kept it the same way since I took over.

Care Instructions

Olive wood is low maintenance. If it starts looking a little dry over time, rub a small drop of olive oil into it with a cloth and it'll come right back. Don't soak it in water. That's really all there's to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it come in a gift box?

Yeah, it does. We wrap it up so it's ready to give, you don't need to do anything extra on your end. I've had people order these last minute for Christmas and they were relieved it arrived looking like a gift already.

Is it real olive wood or does it just look like it?

Real olive wood. You can smell it when you open the box, that's usually the first thing people mention in their reviews.

How fast does shipping usually take?

Pretty standard, ships in a couple days usually. Free shipping if you're over fifty bucks.

Is this actually carved in Bethlehem or is that just marketing?

So I get why people ask this, honestly. There's a lot of stuff out there labeled Holy Land that was made somewhere else entirely. These aren't that. The families carving them... I've been to their workshops. My dad knew some of them before I ever started running this. The olive wood comes from the region, the carving happens there, and when I say handmade I mean someone's hands actually shaped that piece, not a machine. It's a small thing but I find myself thinking about it every time I pack one of these orders.

How big is it?

Fits comfortably in two hands. Not tiny, not huge.
