About This Figure
There's something about a mini angel statue that stops people. They pick it up expecting something light and decorative, and then they just hold it for a while. This one's about 2.8 inches tall, hand carved from genuine olive wood from the Holy Land, and it's got that stillness to it that you can't carve on a machine.
It's a carved wood angel in a praying posture, hands together, head bowed slightly. The grain of the olive wood runs through it in a way that's different on every single piece. If you order one and your neighbor orders one, they won't be identical. That's not a flaw, that's the point.
If you're looking for figures for sale that actually came from somewhere, this is it. Made by Christian artisan families in Bethlehem, shipped directly from our shop. No warehouse in New Jersey, no middlemen.
From Our Family to Yours
Hi, I'm Elias. I grew up around these angels, literally. My father had them on his desk when I was small, and I remember running my thumb over the grain and thinking they felt alive somehow. This mini angel figure is one of the ones I still pick up when a box comes in, just to check it. If you're looking for a figures gift idea that means something, this is where I'd start.

A customer ordered five of these last Easter, one for each of her grandchildren after their confirmations. She sent me a note a few weeks later saying the kids actually kept them on their nightstands. That's the kind of thing that sticks with you.

The Story Behind It
Most wood angel figures you find online are factory-made somewhere and shipped through three distributors before they reach you. These aren't. They come from a family workshop in Bethlehem, where the same carving methods have been handed down across three generations.
The olive wood itself comes from annual pruning of living trees. Nobody cuts a tree down for this. The pruned branches become the raw material, and the families who carve them have been doing exactly this, in the same neighborhood near Manger Square, for longer than our shop has existed.
I've been running Zuluf since 2007. What I know for certain is that when you buy direct from us, you're buying from the people who made it, and the price reflects that. No markup from a chain gift store, no guessing about where it actually came from.

Care Instructions
Olive wood is low maintenance. If it starts looking a little dry after a while, rub a small drop of olive oil into it with a soft cloth and that's all it needs. Don't soak it in water or leave it sitting in moisture.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's it actually made of, real wood or just painted to look like it?
Real olive wood. Not a veneer, not a stain. The grain you see on each one is just how that piece of wood grew, and since olive wood's got this wild, swirling pattern, no two look the same. I've packed probably a thousand of these over the years and I still notice the grain differences. Anyway, yeah, genuine Holy Land olive wood, hand carved in Bethlehem.
About how tall is this thing?
Around 3 inches. Small enough to sit on a windowsill or a desk without taking over the space.
We need like 20 of these for a baptism gift, can you do anything on price?
Yeah, reach out directly through the site. Bulk orders we handle case by case, it depends on the quantity and timing. We've done church orders before, it's not unusual for us.
Will this arrive with any kind of packaging if I'm giving it as a gift?
It ships protected, you're not getting it loose in a box rattling around. Gift-ready enough for most people honestly.
How fast does shipping usually take?
Pretty standard, ships in a couple days usually. Free shipping if you're in the US and over $100. Most orders get there in about a week, give or take.
