About This Figurine

She's small enough to sit on a windowsill but she'll catch your eye every time. The angel holds a baby close, and the grain of the olive wood runs right through both of them like it was always meant to be there. That's what happens when you carve from a single piece of real wood. You don't plan it, it just works out that way.

about 5.4 inches tall. Light enough to hold in one hand. The tones are warm, natural, nothing painted over or dressed up. If you're looking for an olive wood handcrafted angel for sale that doesn't feel like it came off a factory line, this is the one. Every piece is carved by hand, so no two are exactly alike.

From Our Family to Yours

Hi, I'm Elias. I've been handling these olive wood figures since I was a kid watching the carvers work a few streets over from where I sit now. This angel is one of those pieces I always pick up when I'm walking past the shelf. Something about the way she holds that baby. We sell it as a figures gift idea all the time, and honestly I understand why people keep coming back to it.

The Story Behind It

The family who carves this angel has been working olive wood in Bethlehem for three generations. They learned from their parents, who learned from theirs. That's not something you pick up in a workshop weekend course, it takes a lifetime to carve like that.

The olive wood comes from annual pruning of living trees. Nobody's cutting anything down. The trees keep growing, the families keep carving, and your order keeps that whole thing going. Unlike mass-produced imports that are stamped out by machine, these figures are shaped one at a time by real hands in the same city this craft started. That matters to me, at least.

When you order from Zuluf, there's no middleman sitting between you and the family who made it. Factory-direct pricing, shipped straight from Bethlehem.

Care Instructions

Olive wood is low maintenance. If it starts looking dry after a while, rub a small drop of olive oil into it with a cloth and it'll come right back. Don't soak it in water. That's about it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this actually handmade olive wood from Bethlehem or is that just marketing?

Real olive wood. Not a veneer, not a stain. The families carving these are in Bethlehem, I work with them directly. My dad started this before I took over and honestly the same names keep showing up on the orders. It's not a factory thing, it's like five or six artisan families who've been doing this for generations. The grain you see in the photos, that's just what the wood does, we don't add that.

Does it come in a gift box?

Yeah, it does. Comes packaged and ready, so you're not scrambling for a box before a baptism or whatever the occasion is.

How big is this thing exactly?

5.4 inches tall. Fits on a windowsill, fits in your hand.

Is the shipping gonna take forever?

Pretty standard, ships in a couple days usually. Free shipping if you're over $100 in the US. International takes longer, I'd say probably two weeks give or take depending where you are.

We're buying this as a gift, is the wood gonna look different than the photos?

So here's the thing with olive wood, no two pieces are the same. The grain shifts, the tones shift. I've opened crates of these and held them next to each other and they all look a little different. The photos are... they're a good representative but your piece might be lighter or have a stronger swirl pattern. Most people actually like that when it arrives, it feels more personal. Anyway, the warm tones you're seeing are accurate, it's not going to show up looking grey or painted over.
