About This Magnet
It's a small thing. Two and a half inches of olive wood, fits in your palm, sticks to your fridge. But pick it up and you'll feel the grain right away, warm and a little uneven in the best way possible. The Virgin Mary is carved by hand, and "Jerusalem" is engraved right into the wood beneath her. Not printed. Not stuck on. Carved.
Every piece comes out slightly different because of how the grain runs. If you're looking for an olive wood magnet jerusalem buy option that actually comes from Jerusalem's neighboring city, not a factory overseas, this is it. We make these in Bethlehem, ship them directly, and the price stays at $3.50 because there's no middleman taking a cut.
From Our Family to Yours
Hi, I'm Elias. I've been handling olive wood pieces like this one since I was a kid watching the carvers work in the back of the workshop. This magnet gift idea comes up more than you'd think, people order a handful at a time for friends, for family, for church groups. Every one of these ships directly from us in Bethlehem, no warehouse in between.

Perfect As a Gift
A pastor I know ordered about forty of these after a pilgrimage trip. He wanted something real to give his congregation, something that came from the same ground he'd just walked on. At $3.50, you can actually afford to give a few at once. That matters for church groups, for teachers, for anyone shopping for a magnet christmas gift or a magnet easter gift without spending a lot.

The Story Behind It
Most christian magnets you find online are factory-stamped, resin-cast, made somewhere that has nothing to do with the Holy Land. Ours are carved from olive wood by families in Bethlehem who've been doing this for three generations. The olive trees get pruned every year anyway, so the wood comes from that process. Nobody's cutting anything down, and your order helps keep a family workshop running. That's the deal, and I think it's a good one.
I've watched these being made since I was young enough that I wasn't allowed to touch the chisels. Now I'm the one packaging them up and shipping them out. It's still the same families, same tools, same workshop smell of sawdust and wood oil.

Care Instructions
Olive wood doesn't need much. If it starts looking a little dry, rub a small drop of olive oil into it with a cloth and it comes right back. Don't soak it in water and you're fine.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this actual handmade olive wood or just printed to look like it?
Real olive wood. Not a veneer, not a print. The grain you see is the grain of the actual piece of wood that got carved. Every one comes out a little different because of that.
Does it come in any kind of box or packaging if I'm giving it as a gift?
So this one's a little funny, we actually went back and forth on the packaging for a while. We used to just do a basic poly bag and people kept asking for something nicer, so now it comes in a small gift box. Nothing over the top, but it's presentable. You don't need to scramble for a gift bag when it shows up, it's already good to go.
How fast do you ship?
Pretty standard, ships in a couple days usually. Free shipping if you're in the US and over $100.
Is it actually made in Bethlehem or is that just the branding?
Genuinely Bethlehem. I've been working with the same artisan families there for years, my dad did too before me. The wood comes from olive trees in the region, the carving's done by hand there. It's not assembled somewhere else and stamped with a name.
What does the carving on this actually look like up close?
The Virgin Mary figure is carved into the face of the wood, not painted on, and "Jerusalem" is engraved underneath her. Up close you can see the tool marks a little, which honestly I think is the point. It's not trying to look machine-made.
